The team at Sunny Center is selected for their warmth towards children and their friendly demeanor. Most staff members hold a degree or are pursuing one in a child care-related field. At least one staff member will always have up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification. Our kitchen staff and cooks are required to obtain a Food Handler Permit and adhere to safety protocols.
All staff must complete a minimum of 20 hours of training annually and undergo a criminal background check. Substitutes and volunteers can assist with supervising children and engaging in activities after completing pre-service training and a background check. If they work more than 10 hours a week, additional training is required.
